Yes. the famous Fasting Siddhartha (3rd CE) of Lahore Museum. When I faced it at the entrance to the Gandhara Gallery of Lahore Museum nearly two decades back, to me this stunning sculpture was the Lord Himself. Sad, that the left arm was broken during a cleaning procedure in 2014. Known as the ‘jewel of Lahore Museum’ this piece of art ranks not only as one of the finest specimens of Gandhara Art but also as one of the rarest antiquities. I believe the artisan who crafted that piece must have lived that suffering. Look at the details of veins, arteries, ribs, the folds in the skin, the dried bones. Gautama apart, even the artist wanted to end the suffering of the world. This image shows an exceptional degree of Gandhara devices employed in the sculpture. Maya Joshi is an eminent scholar, I suppose she has addressed your disquiet about Buddhism to some extent.
My picture of the sculpture from my book on Lahore.
